Consumer Age Verification Policy
Last updated: June 2026
This policy describes how Treets.me (the "Platform"), operated by InSugarWeTrust SARL (SIREN 942 171 851, 122 rue Amelot, 75011 Paris, France), verifies the age of consumers before granting access to adult content.
1. Principle: No Access Without Payment
Adult content on the Platform is accessible exclusively after completion of a paid card transaction. There is no free-access area containing adult content, and no explicit previews, trailers, or thumbnails are shown to unauthenticated or non-paying visitors.
This payment gate functions as an effective age-verification control because:
- payment cards are issued only to persons of legal age (18+ in France and most jurisdictions), or under verified parental control frameworks that exclude anonymous use;
- each transaction requires valid card details and creates a verifiable record linking content access to an identified cardholder;
- transactions are processed by our payment service provider with 3-D Secure (3DS2) authentication on eligible transactions, further binding the purchase to the legitimate cardholder.
2. Affirmative Age Declaration
In addition to the payment gate, every buyer must affirmatively confirm that they are at least eighteen (18) years of age as part of the purchase flow. This declaration is recorded with a timestamp and retained with the transaction record. A false declaration is a material breach of our Buyer Terms and results in a permanent ban.
3. Enhanced Age Verification (Jurisdictions Requiring It)
Where the law of the buyer's jurisdiction requires age-verification measures beyond the payment gate and the recorded declaration, the Platform enforces enhanced age verification through our verification provider, Didit (including facial age estimation, without document upload in the standard flow), before adult content can be accessed. This verification is performed once per account, is triggered based on the buyer's jurisdiction, and its result is recorded with a timestamp. This applies in particular to France (ARCOM / SREN framework) and to United States jurisdictions whose statutes require age verification.
4. Jurisdiction-Specific Compliance
| Region | Framework | Platform approach |
|---|---|---|
| France | Loi n° 2023-566 and SREN framework; ARCOM enforcement and technical referential for adult sites | Enhanced age verification via Didit enforced from adult go-live, in line with the ARCOM referential (the payment card alone is not relied upon as a sufficient age check); no freely accessible explicit content |
| European Union | Digital Services Act; AVMS Directive | Payment gate + recorded age declaration; risk-based monitoring of DSA obligations applicable to our service category |
| United Kingdom | Online Safety Act 2023 | Payment-based age assurance consistent with Ofcom guidance on highly effective age assurance |
| United States | 18 U.S.C. § 2257; state-level age-verification statutes | Payment gate + age declaration; enhanced verification via Didit in states whose statutes require it; Section 2257 framework (see our 2257 Statement) |
| Other jurisdictions | Applicable local law | Payment gate + age declaration; jurisdiction-specific measures adopted where required |
Where the law of a jurisdiction requires age-verification measures beyond those described here, we either implement the required measures or restrict access to adult content from that jurisdiction.
5. Protection of Minors — Structural Controls
- No person under 18 may be depicted in any content: creator KYC (via Didit) and mandatory pre-publication moderation (via Hive Moderation and human review) enforce this absolutely.
- Accounts suspected of being operated by or for a minor are suspended immediately and investigated.
- Attempting to circumvent age restrictions or access controls is prohibited and may be reported to authorities.
6. Records
Transaction records — including the timestamped age declaration, transaction identifiers, and associated technical data — are retained for ten (10) years in accordance with French accounting and tax law, providing an auditable trail of age-gated access. Records are available to our payment service providers and competent authorities upon legitimate request.
7. Review
This policy is reviewed at least annually and whenever applicable age-verification law or regulatory guidance (ARCOM, Ofcom, DSA implementing acts, US state legislation) materially changes.
